‘Ming the Merciless’, Ireland's most famous and bizzarely named pro - pot campaigner was arrested this afternoon in connection with the posting cannabis to a reported 300 Irish politicians and journalists.

According to the Irish Times website the boys in blue nabbed him while he was trying to hand deliver a grass plant to the offices of a senior Government Minister.

He is in the cop shop as of now.

‘Ming’, ( his real name is Luke Flanagan) is a well-known campaigner for the legalisation of cannabis in Ireland and this stunt is probably in the category of 'pre - election awareness rousing'.

He ran for election in Ireland on a legalise cannabis platform in a previous general election and a previous European Election. He is expected to run for very high office in the upcoming Dail Elections in 2002.
