A new business school, funded by a notorious arms and torture weapons trader.Wafiq al Said is due to open the school later today at 5pm in Oxford. As two activists scaled the building at 6am, dozens of police arrested 8 people on the ground.
One climber was dragged off the central 30m support structure and also arrested. However one climber carried on ascending to the roof. Within 2 hours a banner saying "Built with Blood Money" was draped from the roof as commuters poured from Oxford train station.
Police caused traffic chaos by blocking off roads and pushing reporters around. Fire fighters were called in with a cherry picker. However the fire service soon left following campaigners pleas to not get involved as it was a political protest.
All the arrested activists were de-arrested.
