Nice photo montage but let's keep things in perspective, I can remember far bigger peace marches at the time of the Gulf War and also at the time of the ending of the first I.R.A. ceasefire. There was also really massive demonstrations against Reagan's visit in the 80ies. 1,000 to 2,000 in a protest is nothing to get too excited about. Lot's has been going on around the country but we should leave hype to the corporate media.
Also a lot on that march seemed to be like an election campaign particularly Micheal D. Higgins's (Labour Party)presence on the platform - like at least Joe Higgins (Socialist Party) and Larry O'Toole (Sinn Fein) represented organisations which brought people to the demo. and which are against the war. I'm not exactly comfortable with marches led by politicans either - are they somehow better or greater than any one else on the march, not in my opinion there not.
