'Broadway is capitalist' - claim

Walk for Capitalism claims Broadway represents the height of capitalist 'culture'!

[From: Kyle Varner]

I am a big fan of Broadway music. And, I think *some* Broadway showtunes would be appropriate for the WalkFORCapitalism.

Here is why:

1) Broadway represents CAPITALISM. They don't put on the
musicals because they like us. They do it to make a profit. And- the fact that Broadway is one of the "landmarks" of New York is also symbolic.

2) We can get songs with Pro-Capitalist themes. The one musicals that comes to mind is "1776"- they have songs about the framing of the constitution. "We're Planting and Egg "(I think that the name) is particularly symbolic because just as they planted the seed of freedom with the Declaration of Independence, we are planting another seed of freedom with this walk.

I'll look for some other pro-capitalist songs from Broadway and let you know what they are.
