Red Cross, Viable Target???

Red Cross Warehouse hit by Americans

US planes have today hit a Red Cross Warehouse, they now have to explain why - Which may be difficult as being a warehouse it was quite big, and belonging to the Red Cross it would have had a large red cross on top of it.

Now im not saying that the pilot deliberately hit it - Im sure he had what the military considered a "viable target" to hit. However the US still have to expain this because they give the impression that they have total control over all of their bombs and missiles - and as such now have to explain why they wanted to blow up the Red Cross.

The reason that they talk of smart bombs and surgical strikes is because they want people to believe that it is possible to bomb the hell out of somewhere and only kill "Bad People". If they were honest and said "look its very hard to hit what your aiming at from miles away (or when flying at hundreds of miles an hour) so we are going to miss quite often (and a lot of the time we cant be sure if our targets are military or not) and this means that civilians are going to be killed, we know this but we are still going to do it." then they would be seen as the cold murderous people they are (rather like the cold murderous people they are trying to kill).

War kills innocents, and the people in power rarely die. Hopefully more and more people will realise this and then war will be much harder for goverments to wage. Until then it should be interesting to see how Bush explains this "Mistake"

This may be a little diversionary - and it serves as a reply to other postings by Amir (this and this) - but it's something that's been preying on my mind. I went to an antiwar public meeting in Bradford last week - and one of the speakers was a Labour councillor - and his anti-war speech was very good - but to tell the truth I wanted to heckle - I wanted to say why the fuck haven't you torn up your labour membership - you believe in a centralist party and at the centre of your party are war criminals and state terrorists. I didn't because this was one Asian man on a panel of white speakers - it's a little chickenshit I know and even has a slight rascist undertone but I didn't want to put the man down, particularly with that ever-present swp white articulateness there and also speaking -know what I mean?.
But perhaps it's something we should make a point of - give it up man! This New Labour is no Labour Party as you think it is - abandon it for crissakes - Militant was no good as entrism and neither are you- the Bilderburger has been successful.

The USA can guide a cruise missile through your front door and up your left nostril with accurate precision. The Red Cross and UNICEF could save Afghan lives, but they want the country devoid of people. It's good for Texaco, BP, Shell, the thing that really matters, maximun profits, it's called capitalism.

Indeed, there are even sanctions against targeting them, ah, now that its nonstate figures, we of the U.S. have rescinded the hunting ban on the old boys club. But somehow all the respectable terrorists (those who don't dirty their own hands)still evade the justice and the courts. Too old and decrepid for trial, no compelling authority, and that old favorite- "oh, look over there" while they drop firecrackers to divert us, firecrackers that maim and kill people who don't know these innocent terrorists names or reasons.

Time to stop, people, look around, and see the shit going down.

Time to realize the moment they hold a war and no body comes. Those alreday deployed should be allowed to repent, say sorry. come home, be cared for as victims of propoganda, which they are.
