Roots of Evil

Rumsfeld is ethnically cleansing, with bombs, a whole nation, murdering the old, the young, the sick and the starving, to accommodate an oil pipeline to the Caspian Sea. Putin has already obliged with the genocide of Chechnya, to clear the way. Sudanese tribes, the ancient Dinka and Nuba are being erased for an oil pipeline too. When will we stop condoning this terror to fill the coffers of the World Bank? The UN has just been awarded a peace prize for it’s input into this humanitarian catastrophe. How many more millions must die before you realize oil has been obsolete for eighty years and alternative free-energy is being suppressed?

and here is one I prepared earlier. Are you sure this isn't some kind of preparation for the invasion of the Mothmen? I like it -it has the atmosphere of the Aids and breast cancer campaigns - all toward some drug-led solutions. Trouble is they all make the solution worse than the problem. Simple display is STOP THE WAR. we can organise the argument around that.

I looked at this site and I thought it was a good idea. Its a very simply built web site. I don't understand Dwight's comments, they don't seem relevant to me but perhaps I am misunderstanding him. It seems to me that this is nothing like the aids and breast cancer ribbons. This is one you make yourself - the site makes it very clear that they don't want anyone to make money from this even for charity. STOP THE WAR is great - but how many people realistically are going to stick a sign across their chest, or on their car, saying that? They probably should but I just don’t think they will. Any little gesture helps.
