Anti-War demonstrations in Athens

On October 8 about 5.000 people participated in a anti war demonstration which ended at the american embassy in Athens. The demonstration was organised by the Greek Committee for the International Demonstration of Genoa, the Youth of the Communist Party and various radical left associations. The next day trade unions controled by the Communist Partie demonstrated against the war in the streets of Athens. This demonstration was bigger than the first. Greek public opinion is in general against the war.
