Over 70 people attended an anti-war meeting in York on 28 September, set up York Against the War and agreed to affiliate to the Stop the War Coalition. Followed up with 100-strong anti-war demo on 6 October, speakers from Green Party and Socialist Alliance; and a swiftly-convened vigil against the air strikes on 8 October.
