Fountains Run Red in Cardiff

Bozavine | 06.10.2001 09:45

The fountains outside the City Hall in Cardiff today ran red in sympathy with the victims of the phoney 'War'.

A direct action in Cardiff saw the fountains outside the City Hall run red. The civic centre of the Welsh capital, a renowned architectural structure pictured in most tourist guides to Wales, was the centre piece of the action. Protesters have dyed the water red, to symbolise the blood that could fall of the innocent civilians caught up in all wars, in particular the current crisis in Afghanistan. The action is to coincide with the peace march starting from the Hayes at 11:30.
