End of the outrageous early unprompted arrests in Brighton at the labour party conference demo when over 30 riot police steamed into the peaceful crowd waiting to march and started arresting wombles and others - part of a harder line after the US attacks? The police later said they were 'intelligence-led' arrests to prevent possible disorder.
