SWP and alleged (by NUS) Muslim anti-semites holding debates, tonight and 14/10. Socialism vs Jihad.

Have a look at the website of Al Muhajiroun (the voice the yees the ears of the Muslims) and you see they have organised a series of debates with SWP, Socialist vs. Muslim type thingie. What do SWP think they are doing?
Seeking yet more subscribers and party members, doubtless.

Would they debate with fascists?

If the SWP is debating with al-Mujahiroon, then how can it condemn others for debating with the BNP? This group of Nazis are religious fundamentalists who want to exterminate Jews. That's why they've been banned on every university campus. The SWP accuses people of legitimising the BNP by interviewing Nick Griffin on TV - are they not legitimising these other racists?

I've checked both the events referred to on the website of the group Al-Muhajiroun.

The information is not true, I don't know where this information came from.

The SWP did not partake in the debate last night (30th of Sep) and is not taking part in the one scheduled for the 14 th of Oct.

Click on the Islam and Racism banner, if u can find it is it appears they just redid the page. Apparently Kevin Ovenden was going to be debating at the second debate.

Just spoke with him on the phone. Apprently he knew something was going around with his name on it, but SWP never got involved.
