It's been confirmed that four wombles were taken by snatch squads before the march had started, the reasons for this are as yet unknown. This caused a lot of anger from the crowd on a day which has seen 5-6000 people marching in the driving rain from a range of political groups towards the beach front. Police are in heavy numbers with some on horseback and according to one protester "there is an unprecedented number of police filming". It has also been reported that police have been walking onto buses with protesters on and reading a Section 12 Act teeling people not to divert from the designated march or they will be arrested.
