What the fuck does "Systems Integration" mean?

Does it mean killing people?

It's clearly a technical term that's supposed to be understood only by those who need to know.

...Like in one of those James Bond films.

'Systems integration' is pretty much what it says. You have surveillance systems, missile systems, aircraft, naval craft, communications systems, satelites and so on all forming part of the military architecture, but these all have to link up into some kind of cohesive whole so 'systems integration' is the largely automated hi-tech bit that joins all the little systems into one big fuck off war machine. National and Missile Defence Systems, incidentally, will have endless subsystems to integrate including space based nuclear powered laser weapons designed to ensure that the protectors of civilisation and democracy have the highest and most comprehensive vantage point for launching lethal attacks against all those hate-filled terrorists. Marvelous innit?
