We unequivocally condemn this atrocity. We urge calm and restraint as the international community determines its response. We ask the governments of the UK and the USA not to retaliate indiscriminately or with further violence, but rather to seek justice in a considered and peaceful manner.

Stand shoulder to shoulder for peace and justice No more violence PETITION TEXT:
To: The Rt. Hon. Tony Blair, MP, Prime Minister
The killing of civilians is a crime against humanity. United States citizens and residents do not deserve to die because of the actions of their Government. Neither do the civilians of any other country deserve such a fate. We unreservedly condemn all terrorist attacks, whether carried out by individuals, organisations or nations.
We, the undersigned, call on the Government of the United Kingdom to work for a peaceful solution by:
- Using its influence to urge the U.S. Government to seek justice through international law and not by military means
- Not taking part in any military retaliation
- Refusing the U.S. use of any base in the U.K. for military retaliation
