911 will affect ALL of us.

The global implications of tuesday are only just starting.

The destruction of the world trade centre has global implications that will affect everyone. The tragic events of tuesday have spurred NATO into declaring a state of war for all member states against an as yet unidentified enemy.

While the finger of blame is being pointed at osama bin laden there is a strong call going out for increased security, surveillance and policing for the whole of the western world. A BBC journalist reported that there would very likely be increased police attention towards dissident political groups. A country at war has no time for disagreement.

We could find ourselves in a few weeks or months in a large scale war against large parts of the arab world and suffering a major clampdown by the authorities on home soil. If this ever becomes the case, how will we react?

There is also likely to be a very large race issue since the press have been stoking the fire for months now, this could be enough to trigger far more racist attacks and/or more sympathy for the bnp and nf.

These things have to be discussed, the world is changing very rapidly and we don't want to be caught out.
