If this was an internal thing then I'll bet George W Bush didn't know about it. The man's an imbecile. If the perpetrators were members of the american Establishment, they sure wouldn't have trusted old Dubya with their plot.
He'd have been kept completely in the dark about it!

By the way, on the subject of conspiracies, can anyone tell me anything about the CIA and it's imperialist actions?
Coups pulled off, coups attempted, selling drugs to get a source of income for parts of their budget that they don't want to be accountable to the government, etc.
All that kind of thing, please in the immortal words of Craig David, fill me in.
