The Dragon Strikes Back!
Brian Routh | 21.08.2001 20:52
People will blind us with science, names, reasons why and so on to convince us that these corporate robots can be persuaded to do our bidding. Well! I say that as long as we operate on their frequency we will be like them. We will vibrate on the same low vibration as them. We either have to communicate as obi ben canobi. which is practically impossible without learning how to pull it off. Or turn our backs on these insults to the human organism and create our own world. Our own media. Our own press. Our own ideals. And I know that to some degree that's exactly what some of us are doing. Non-violent protests in massive numbers. Sit-down strikes. There is no way to change this world through violence. It's already been changed through violence. For the worse. Be yourself at all times and don't shrink into holes where you can't fit, in order to make others feel comfortable ( as mandela put it).

You have to be someone to get air play in the UK. Or be one of the group.
That's why free thinkers don't remain in the UK. That's why I'm not there. Because I am not on the team.

Everything that gets written gets published.
I don't think it's justified to call Indymedia a 'boys club'.

since genova using any name that comes into , or out of my head . they all went up there ,
seems to be a lot of whingers in the UK everyone has got it with everyone else , could this be divide an rule in operation ? . At one stage in genova I found myself in the company of the SWP there was a good few of them , and fair play to them . I would prefer to spend my time slagging of the corporate crime syndicates rather than looking to have a go at people who are marching next to me.
UK indymedia is a bit slow at getting messages up, server problems ?, and seems to be slightly inferior to the italian site , where you can publish from any page . The `clear the page` button is a pain in the butt when your in a rush as i normally am, could be a bit further from the publish button.. I normally spend a bit of time paging up the articles i post so hitting the wrong button is not funny .
it`s not important who says it , it`s what you say that counts , most of what i put up are articles I find on the net , mainstream press ect ect . not my personal opinion . Indymedia must try to get the whole story that means both sides of the argument. that means everything and every angle .
