EA MILANO | 10.08.2001 14:02

2 GERMANS WERE DEPORTED YESTERDAY
TODAYS COURT DECISIONS FROM THE HEARINGS ON 08.08.01:
3 GERMANS WILL BE DEPORTED TODAY
10 GERMANS WILL STAY IN JAIL
STILL 41 IN PRISON

Yesterday not only was one German woman deported, but a second guy got deported as well.

TODAYS DECISION OF THE COURT, CONCERNING THE HEARINGS FROM THE 08.08.01

Today 3 people from Freiberg will be deported. 10 other Germans have to stay in Jail. The court supports its decisions on very vague "evidence". This "evidence" are materials, which are supposed to prove a participation in violent actions and were supposedly found in posession of the defendants at the time of their arrest. It is confirmed Information that even some of these materials, that can't proove anything anyway, were not in posession of the defendants before they were stopped by the police.
A traffic cop, who stopped the defendants in their vehicles and searched them shortly before their arrest, will testify that there wasn't any evidence in the vehicles then.

POSSIBILITY TO REQEST HOUSE ARREST

Another reminder: There is a possibility to request house arrest instead of jail in the period leading up to the court date. For this families, organizations, communities (if possible religious) in Italy that are prepared to take on these prisoners are necessary. IF YOU HAVE CONTACTS, LET US KNOW AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!!!!!!

Within the next weeks a third hearing can be requested, but this can take quite some time.

INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY ACTION

On monday at 9.00 a.m. further hearings will take place. At this time solidaruty actions in Genoa and other cities are planned. If you have time, think of something! Be creative! It would be good to point out the repression of the Italian state and the situation of the prisoners to awake awareness and to make sure that it won't be forgotten.
