Tony Blair's silence on the Genoa Violence

Tony Blair has still refused to condemn the Italian Govt and the actions of the Italian Police over the Human Rights violations and atrocities commited in Genoa.
Now that the Italy's chief of Police has admitted
that the police used 'excessive force in trying
to bring demonstrators under control' [1]
Isn't it about time that Tony Blair made an official
statement of condemnation towards the the way Police
tactics in Genoa?
When the violent first erupted, he was actually
supportive, if not congradulatory towards the Police
actions. Now that there is widespread international
condemnation for the events, he has fallen back on
complacent silence.
Put pressure on the UK Govt. to make an official
statement of condemnation, and let them know that
widespread human rights abuses and the criminalisation
of dissent will not be tolerated by UK citizens.
Write to your MP and tell them that the complacent
silence on the part of this Govt. with regards to
the widespread human rights abuses and police terrorism
and violence in Italy is unacceptable:

not only has Blair backed up berlusconi's death squads he reckons he has put himself up as the knight in shining against the evil anti globalisation movement .....
The british government has been one of the slowest to move to help it's people falsly imprisoned in Italy.
This year it appears that the blairs will not be taking their summer holidays in tuscany as they have for done for the last two years as guests of prince Girolomo Giucciardini Strozzi,at his villa at Cusona nr san Gimignano.
The prince, as he calls himslef is director of the tuscany edition of 'Il Giornale' the exreme right wing newspaper owned by none other than Silvio Berlusconi.
The year before the Blairs also stayed nr san gimignano at the villa of now disgraced Geoffry Robinson, another of tony's contacts in Italy.
Could be a indication of what to expect in the UK :
ciao ciao
