Tolerate each other

Your story is very moving and I appears to be a very honest account of what happened . I support you 100% but I also respect the opinions of the peace full protesters .
If we want to change the shit system including all the bullshit morales and the way we are programmed to think
the first thing we need to do is eliminate rascism and all kinds of prejudice. If the anti global movement is to survive
we will have to defend ourselves against the oldest enemy
"Divide and Rule" .The people who demonstrated on the streets of genova, could be considered 'the converted'. But 90% of the people in the western probably didn't even hear about genova, there locked into one world TV reality they don't care if the food they eat is full of harmfull chemicals, or that the world is run by Oil and petro chemical companies , banks ect ect ect. Our whole christian society is based upon a fairy tale, which most people still believe in.
The Anti Global Movement has now arrived at the point where is has some power and from a middle class opportunists view point a lot of "street creds" . These people are the ones with big personalities who can make passionate speeches have lot's of friends in the media and on the political fringe.
They are good at working behind the scenes and any photo
opportunity is milked to the max . In a very short space of time people like this will be leading the movement .
They will then sell out to their political mates take a nice big slice for themselves and fuck the movement.
But they won't fuck over the whole movement the Black Bloc /
Anarchists will still be the same as they are today.
But if people from the Black bloc took time off from throwing bricks and took an interest in the admin / organisation side of things, then we could stop these smart arse yuppies from
fixing all the votes in their favour and stop them hijacking the agenda and using it for their own purposes.
It would be good to hear some proposals about this from
you guys, put them up on indymedia italy as well, there is a lot of debate on the site, since genova

Good luck to you guys hope you get home safely .

I live in Italy ...

Pink Silver

Hehehe, agree with the Pink Silver bit. There was a core of very vocal pacifists who wanted to impose their version of demonstrating on the rest of us. I got the impression that many of these were quite inexperienced, though some clearly had a moral conviction based on experience.

We almost split town to Pink AND Silver (rather than Pink/Silver) with the Pinks commited to pacifism and Silvers a bit more spikey depending upon the situation. We were going to split when decided during the march. As it was, the pacifists got a bit of beating by the looks of things. The tear gas separated up the group and people even ran away from the black bloc. It seems from several accounts that those who ran away from the Black Bloc got quite severe beating. I was relatively lucky in that I thought I'd better join em since I was separated from the rest of the Pink/Silver group. When I finally met up with the PS group in Manin Square, it was even disgustingly decided that we wouldn't allow any Black Bloc to join us (they wanted to because they were frightened) as we tried to get back to the Convergence Centre. Think that the entire group was quite radicalised by the actions we'd been involved in though...guess the Pink and Silver group will be a little bit more silver in the future :)

I'm in the process of writing up a big Pink/Silver analysis. I'll post it when possible.

Stop the Black Bloc witchunt - Unity against Capitalism. For anarchy!
