Esso HQ blockaded

Hugh Warwick | 03.08.2001 14:33

Esso HQ, Leatherhead, Surrey was blockaded on the morning of 24th July. Two 8m tripods were erected preventing any vehciles getting in - all staff walked (complaining about having to use their legs no doubt) - they were given leaflets and encouraged to take the day off climate changing. Great demo - and just the start I imagine.

Spot the Chemtrails

Like so many others you appear oblivious to the horror captured on this film, right above your heads...CHEMTRAILS, in their typical criss-cross design.

These are NOT clouds, but chemical emmissions ejected from an areosol, by plane, dispersing barium salts and organo polymers into the atmosphere.

They retain moisture in clouds which can then be used for 'cloud-seeding' or 'cloud-busting' (drought or flood) whichever causes most havoc.

They are also used as a 'duct' for radio-waves, useful for military purposes. But these chemtrails cause respiratory disorders and no-one knows the long term effects on health.

But we know the effect it's having on the global weather and the repercussions.

BTW, well done...and keep up the pressure on Shell!!

N15StopEsso to Launch

04.08.2001 11:08

Brilliant! Just like the action at Esso's Purfleet refinery. Direct Action both jams the corporate system and inspires wider resistance. Most us visiting indymedia are already card-carrying anti-capitalists but there are many more who aren't signed up to the whole opposition thing but are against privatisation, GM foods, global warming. To engage with this audience is vital and will be done locally not at huge set-piece demos and marches.

This is the 'we are everywhere' idea of N15StopEsso. Join us at the launch on Saturday 18 August at The Esso Garage, Tottenham High Rd, Stamford Hill N15. 10am leafleting to dissuade motorists from using Esso followed by discussion on building community boycott and direct action.
