‘Tasers’ have been permitted to prevent ‘unpredictable’ or ‘dangerous’ (as in carrying a gun-shaped lighter) schitzophrenics from being shot dead by police. Now the mentally ill or unstable will be electrocuted and paralysed instead, to protect police from this “growing menace.”

There are no guarantees this won’t result in serious injury or death to susceptible people, but after a one-day course, ‘Trojan Patrol’ response units will be equipt and ready to stun!

But it has also been advocated that the ‘Territorial Support Group’ (read;Army) will be supplied with laser-guns, to deal with riots and other public non-compliance.

And let’s face it, that’s what it’s really all about....that’s why they shot a couple of schizos, to rush through this escalation in militarized, urban repression.
