This must be old news. I remember him being convicted for fraud two or three years ago. Craxi is now dead and Berlusconi is the Prime Minister, not leader of the opposition. I don't think there are any legal charges pending against Berlusconi at the moment.

Sure this is old news, but still relevant to the G8, the brutal repression that followed and to the whole anti gloablisation movement. Berlusconi has side stepped the law for years, he should have been behind bars years ago, and would have been if it were not for his many freinds in high places. Berlusconi is still facing very serious corruption charges. He has links with the P2 and two or three months ago
it was reported that a well known member of the mafia had worked for Berlusconi as his stable manager, he has also been accused of laundering millions of $ of mafia money.
There is no clear explanation as to who funded the Milan 2
construction project which set berlusconi on his way to the top. Do some research , there has been a lot written about Mr B most of his crimes are documented in the various books.
