update | 01.08.2001 09:44

News from the hospital where sky is - at 2040hrs gmt tuesday 31st July 2001

Sky and the two other Germans still in the same hospital in Genoa have this evening (31.07.01) been served with deportation orders. This comes the night before Sky was due to meet British Foreign Office representatives and give further evidence to the Italian examining magistrate on the infamous raid on the GSF buildings, this was to include a visit to the street where the raid happened.

So far it is thought they have refused to sign acceptance of the deportation orders and are awaiting the arrival of a GSF legal representative.

The order states that it is believed that the individuals are strongly suspected of being part of a group who at the G8 in Genoa committed crimes punishable by article 419 of the Italian Criminal Code (destroying and plundering of property) and that the named are a dangerous threat to the
order and public security of Italy!

update to follow asap 1st August.

Sky was able to give more evidence and visited the scene of the bloody raid without interference - kind of swamped by Italian media - if anyone speaks Italian pls post some stranslations.

He is hoping to return home in next few days.
