Alternative news programme on Channel 4

Tomorrow , Friday 31st August, at 7.30pm, Channel 4 will broadcast ALT WORLD, an alternative news programme made by video activists reporting from Australia, Britain, Brazil, Yugoslavia.

News features include
Breaking News- Undercurrents reports on how British Police arrest reporters and stop the news reaching the public. With just 20 hours to go before transmission, Channel 4 legal department are demanding cuts to be made from our investigations

Banksy- Squall follows Britain's cheekiest Grafitti artist at work

Landless movement- "it is the largest social movement in Latin America today but you probaly haven't heard of it" says the presenter. Homeless people in the shanty towns of Brazil are staging mass land occupation and rebuilding their lives.Conscious cinema explores.

A spokesperson for Undercurrents said-
"Alt World will be the first televsion News programmes exploring the role of alternative media in the growing grassroots political movement. This is a radical rethink at how News is presented."
