We are calling for an EU-wide strike of students and pupils in December. We are looking for translators in all EU languages and for people who can write articles about the situation at schools and universities in their country. This weekend we will publish the call for the strike. In Germany some of the big student- and pupilunions will support the strike. In Austria some of the big unions are very enthousiastic about the idea as well. Reason for the call to strike is the new GATS negotiations by the European Union and other WTO members that are a threat for education...Privatisation of healthcare and education is the magic word of the GATS treaty.
