"Sixteen names of police officers were today entered on the register of those investigated in the inquiry on the blitz of the schools Diaz and Pascoli on July 21st.
At the moment the names of the police are on the table of Francesco Lalla who will tomorrow decide whether to interview them immediately or await the return of the head solicitor Francesco Meloni. Their names will be kept confidential.
Yesterday the investigator (?) Silvio Franz listened to the testimony of roman photographer Egilio Paoni who was attacked by carabinieri whilst photographing the body of Carlo Giuliani. Silvio sustained bad head injuries, and two fractures of the hand, as well as the destruction of cameras and film. He says he didn't witness the shooting but his evidence will be used in the case against the police officer being charged with the murder of Carlo and in the case of the 20 or so unknown protestors who assailed the van who are being charged with attempted murder (!!!!)
The investigation into hospital treatment in Genoa during the protests has concluded that at no point were any protestors refused treatment and at no point did the police interfere with the hospital work despite many testimonies from those injured."
