On Sunday, more than a thousand people took part in the first major action related to the camp. Although a planned demonstration was declared illegal, the crowd managed to demonstrate in front of the airport gates and even entered the terminal, despite large numbers of police trying to stop them. Several theatrical performances took place, criticising the racist border regime, German immigration regulations and the deportation of refugees from Frankfurt airport.
