The Observer

anon | 29.07.2001 14:01

Has anyone read The Observer today? It's absolutely PACKED with anticapitalist stuff! (relatively speaking).
In particular it's got a two page spread on police brutality in Genoa and it has compiled a file which it has passed on to the Foreign office who haven't bothered to interview any of the victims yet. So good for them :-)

So I think I everyone should write to The Observer and tell them what a good job they're doing. (relatively)

Don't be cynical, go on, write to them! And be nice :-) If they get positive feedback on this then they will continue to improve they're coverage of our movement. They need encouragement. :-)

The address is in green above. Just click on it.

If you want to keep up with wots going down in Italy
check the Italian indymedia site . A lot of the indymedia sights round the world are linked to the italian site so I guess it's best to post messages there. Some of the stuffs only in Italian, errr we can't translate it all perhaps someone would like to lend a hand, There is a big row in Germany brewing up, can anyone translate some of that and keep us informed ...Please .. keep up the fight !!

check out the latest News Statesman for a really good editorial about Genoa. makes some really good points such as that it is hypocritical for Blair and Bush to pose as the democratically elected "leaders of the people" when Blair only got the vote of about one in four adults in our elections (remember nearly half didn't vote) and Bush actually got less votes than Gore.
