time for genoa to own up to numbers of dead.

John | 27.07.2001 02:03

it is time for genoa police to release the actual number of people who died during the protests in genoa and it is time
to take stock of those still missing in genoa.

i spent the weekend logged into the italy.indymedia sites where reports were made about the death tally during the riots by italians on the scene &/or who had communications with the genoese police.

on saturday there was a tally of 3. i for one do not believe
that this is the final number of people who died.

we should ask the genoese to release the number of people who died during the demonstrations or in custody/hospital afterward.

i think we are in for a very big shock when we realise the
actual figures.

nothing will happen unless we pressure the media/government
to get the genoese authorities to release the figures.

we also want to know who remains in custody in genoa.

the uk activists won a great victory because of the pressure
they mounted on the government and the media to get brits
released. that should not be the end of it.

what happens to those people who no-one claimed? do they rot in a genoa jail/ become a play thing for fascist sadists/ die?

unity is our strength.
