I witnessed with two other comrades the "black block' ie people dressed up as black block with iron bar standing with the same riot police who had just carried out at tear gas attack on us.
How did genuine black block memebers know that the majority of "black block' carrying out the attacks werent police. From what I have heard no faces were seen and sign language was used
If genuine anarchists were are with the black block PLEASE re think your tactics and admit that the police wanted random destruction of Genoa. It gave them the right to attack anywhere and everyone. All they had to do was to intensify Black Block attacks.
It seems fxxxxxxx obvious that these are not BB but police dressed up so as to infiltrate. Do people really believe that the BB which has its roots in the German Anti-fascist movement would knowingly cooperate with Italian police/fasc...You may disagree with their tactics but dont fall for the Globalise Resistance SWP smears.The working class youth of Italy who put on helmets and masks to smash the hated banks do not deerve to be called fascists. Remember SWP hate autonomous action....they cant control it!
I'm presuming the "SWP smear" is in reference to the article in this week's Socialist Worker. If the comrade reads it a little more closely, he may notice a distinction is made between the "real" Black Block (and yes, some sharp criticism is presented of their tactics) and the clear evidence of police infiltration. For my part, I saw police officers in Genoa dressed in what I suppose they took to be "anarchist" clothes - that is, no uniform and a bandana instead of a gas mask - operating with other uniformed police - with the "anarchists" holding police truncheons and wearing police helmets. Very strange that these things should be done so publicly; or perhaps that is intentional...? Either way, the BB strategy does appear to be rather too open to abuse.
