Bloodied but unbowed!

Bloodied but unbowed we will have justice when we return to Genoa

We are bloodied but unbowed v.09

Still everywhere there is confusion and chaos. It is practically impossible to find out what happened to people you know. Arrests are occuring both in Genoa, in other parts of Italy and the border. We have no clear reports of what is happening where. We have been terrorized, beaten, brutalized, and even killed. We have too many people who need to get time to themselves to think and to understand the meaning of this butchery visited upon us. And still we must think ahead, those of us who still have the energy, and those who were not in Genoa and have the time, the energy, and the focus to keep things going while our comrades catch their breath.
We have had to retreat in the current battle, but I am confident we will win the war. The State has overplayed it’s hand. They thought that by brutalizing us they would split us into quitters and extremists. We will not play by their rules. Now is not the time to debate whether the ‘black block’ or any other group went too far. I know that any opinion I have on this is conjecture. Yet, I do know that the people at the GSF/IMC building, in the gymnasium across the way, and in the street between were ABSOLUTELY PEACEFUL. There is no question here. The forty or sixty people still being held prisoner are innocent beyond a shadow of a doubt. The only crime sky from indymedia is guilty of is being in the street between the buildings at the wrong moment.
Now is the time to collect all the information we can on those who are under arrest, in prison, and otherwise unaccounted for and to turn our efforts to bringing those responsible to account. I am not interested in court cases, I want a open People’s Tribunal to pass judgement after reviewing all the evidence. Don’t give the State control of the truth! Just as we make our own media, we will organize our own investigation.
Please volunteer to make sure this happens and that when we come back to Genoa on the 20th of October it will be with our heads high, supporting our injured comrades, and freeing our imprisoned colleagues.
