In 1973, General Ariel Sharon brought the world closer to nuclear war than it has come since the nuclear holocaust in Nagasaki, Japan. In order to stop the Soviet Red Army from intervening as Sharon commanded the massacre of The Egyptian Third Army in The Sinai, The American Nuclear Arsenal was moved to DEFCON 3.

In 1973, General Ariel Sharon brought the world closer to nuclear war than it has come since the nuclear holocaust in Nagasaki, Japan.

As General Ariel Sharon commanded the massacre of The Egyptian Third Army in The Sinai, American U2 spy planes observed that The Soviet Red Army was mobilizing elite rapid deployment units in preperation to invtervene on behalf of Egypt.

President Richard Nixon, acting on the advice of Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, ordered the United States Strageic Air Command, which controls the American Nuclear Arsenal to move to Defence Condition 3, known in miliatary terminology as DEFCON 3.

The Red Army immediately ceased all mobilization moves.

The only other time The Strategic Air Command has moved to DEFCON 3 was during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1961 on orders from President John F. Kennedy.

During a DEFCON 3, all of the men in control of the American Nuclear Arsenal are ordered to standby 24 hours a day and to be ready to recieve launch codes and target coordinates on a moment’s notice.

During a DEFCON 3, the American nuclear arsenal is on a hair trigger.

A DEFCON 3 is an inherently dangerous situation.

A DEFCON 3 tests the limits of the safety of the American nuclear arsenal.

General Ariel Sharon’s actions in The Sinai in 1973 provoked a planned intervention by the Soviet Red Army and a DEFCON 3 alert for the American Nuclear Arsenal in order to stop The Red Army from intervening.

General Ariel Sharon is a very dangerous man.
