These reports of police storming italy indymedia, beating people and seizing tapes etc must be publicised as far and as widely as possible, and all mainstream media must be pressured to report the story.

When this type of thing happens, it proves that there is no real freedom of press. They would never do this to a corporate news HQ. This shows that anybody who is considered to be a threat and not part of the mainstream can be treated like shit and marginalised. We need to make sure that everybody hears about this. Hopefully journalists will feel some prick of conscience and report it widely and not just some short column on page 11.
