scantec, the wirral bassed employment agency wins nuclear weapons contract

Birkenhead company, Scantec personnel have won a £45m contract from the MOD.

The contract was awarded to supply temporary staff over a 5-year period to the AWE weapons establishments Aldermaston, and Burghfield.

Initially one of 25 companies providing specialist personnel, privately owned Scantec has been supplying AWE since 1994, and is now the leading supplier of technical, engineering, and commercial staff from design through construction and maintenance support.

Scantec MD John Robinson said: "This achievement has been a real team effort throughout the whole of the company from consultants, support staff, accounts and payroll. It will enable us to further develop the company, creating a number of full-time job opportunities."

In addition to the work with AWE, Scantec also supply staff to DERA, BNFL, and Government agencies

Established in 1990, Scantec operates from a head office in Oxton with a branch in Shotton, North Wales.
