Campsfield "No Borders" camp opens Wednesday night

The Campsfield "No Borders" protest camp will open at Campsfield Immigrant Detention Centre, nr Kidlington, Oxford, on the night of Wednesday 18 July.

18-22 July 2001: While the G8 meet in Genoa to discuss expanding free trade and profit, thousands of people are forced to leave home just to survive. On arrival here instead of help they get interned in prisons such as Campsfield House, run for profit by private security business Group 4. The Wombles declare: Close Campsfield Detention Centre! Close Every Detention Centre! Free the prisoners!

Arrive @ Campsfield on Wednesday 18th July to help set up camp - email us to help plan for numbers - especially if you have access to kitchen equipment, tents, yurts, large marquees, food, water or can help in any other way.

THE SIEGE OF CAMPSFIELD plus ANARCHIST TRAVELLING CIRCUS actions to close the shithole and free the prisoners. Bastille Day-stylee prison destruction and white overalls fun expected. Bring siege equipment and helmets.


Getting there.....
Oxford is well-served by train and coach connections interchanging at the rail station. Coaches to Oxford leave London Victoria coach station every 15 minutes, costing about £8. Nearest tube: Victoria, then 5 mins walk to coach station.

Campsfield House is about 6 miles from Oxford city centre. It can be reached by bus (numbers 2B, 2C or 2D) from the main Oxford rail station: ask for Campsfield House or Langford Lane. This bus can also be caught outside Debenhams in the city centre. When you get there follow the banners.

By road: from London - M40 motorway from London, taking exit 9 onto A34 towards Kidlington. Join A44 northbound towards Woodstock. Turn right for Oxford Airport and right again for Campsfield House.
From Oxford - leave the ring road for the A44. Turn right for Oxford Airport and right again for Campsfield.
