well here we are in Sunny Genoa as tension mounts for the " big showdown" although tempers are flaring in some
quarters and differences arising between different groups I cannot stress enough that people should not be put off coming here......you are needed more than ever. There has been intense propaganda about the closure of this city,they want to win this battle through inconvenience.....and that is all it will be an inconvenience......the main train station is to be closed, but trains will be diverted to stations on the edge of the city and buses are to be laid on into the centre......the borders are ( officially)closed, but most people are still managing to cross unless they are on a blacklist (reportedly containing 2,500 names)or if they have forgotten their passport (3 people this morning)....so pack it and get on the road......if you want to see video check the indymedia UK site. We will only win this battle if people are not put off and make up the numbers..... yes there is a heavy police presence and it is likely that your details will be checked, but not a big price to pay for changing the world and showing the big boys that we do not want to play their game.
