rawfood and hemp make a naked stand

a former paratrooper and falklands war veteran and warphotographer turned deep ecology activist, was recently released from prison in the US and is unable to leave the country untill his trial, the likely outcome of which is unclear. his treatment at the hands of the US justice system has exposed yet again it's disregard for basic human rights. but highlights the benefits of non-violent peaceful resistance.
british and irish citizen, mike mccarthy was recently released from prison in denver, colorado in the US. as a result of an immigration violation. he went the first four days without water or food and was given 3 litres of distilled water for the next four days before his release. he was making a peaceful stand for basic human rights, those of clean food and water and the right to maintain a spiritual practice. he has maintained a diet of organic raw fruits and vegetables for the last three and a half years, for both personnel and planet health. he was attacked by a five person s.w.a.t. team, stripped naked, dressed in polyester orange, wrapped in chains and dragged off to solitary confinement. he refuses to wear un-natural fibres for personnel and planet ecological reasons and only wears hemp. once de-chained he undressed and remained naked untill his release. although this highlights the US governments disregard for basic human rights and its attitude against any tourist who is outspoken against its culture of mass-consumption and unsustainability, it also proves the advantages of non-violent peaceful resistance and non-participation. cracks where beginning to appear in the solidarity of his captors. now, with his passport retained by the authorities, he has to await his trial, unable to leave the country.
