Air quality on the London Underground constitutes a long-term health threat to both passengers and staff, an eminent scientist based at Middlesex University has claimed.

As a escalator engineer working on the underground I find the contents of this report very disturbing . Whilst noticing the almost daily build up of dust layers behind the hoarded of escalators we have never been infomed of the dangerous content of the dust ie Silica.
I feel that management have adopted I hope they last long enough to retire attitude I for one will be constanly wearing Dust Masks from now on and can only hope the damage has not already been done.
