THIS IS YOUR INVITATION…….
to a sanctions breaking auction.

Tony Blair, Jack Straw and you are among those invited to Voices in the Wilderness UK’s sanctions breaking auction, Saturday 30 June 5pm, Kingsley Hall, Powis Road, Bromley by Bow, London E2.

Members of Voices in the Wilderness will risk five years in prison by auctioning goods purchased in Iraq last week by Voices in the Wilderness (1) 8th sanctions breaking delegation(2).

You will have the chance to bid for Iraqi scarves, dates, books, fans and an Iraqi monopoly set!

The UN sanctions prevent free trade between Iraq and the rest of the world, with crippling effects on it’s economy. UN reports (3) have identified re inflating the Iraqi economy as a key requirement in resolving the humanitarian crisis in Iraq.

“Re inflating Iraq’s economy is crucial to resolving the humanitarian crisis. Smart sanctions aim to continue the stranglehold on Iraq’s economy. If the British-American smart sanctions proposals are passed at the Security Council next week, Iraq will continue to be administered as a giant refugee camp with 22 million inhabitants.” Richard Byrne, member of Voices 7th delegation to Iraq
