If you can't raise the cash for getting to Genoa (and getting back!) why not come to the actions against Campsfield Detention Centre.

Campsfield House (6 miles from Oxford) is the UK's flagship Immigration Detention Centre. All of its inmates are escaping from oppressive states (know any other kind?) like Iraq, Turkey and Afghanistan. It was opened in 1993 and is run for profit by the private security firm Group 4.

A No Borders-style camp will be opened on July 18th: actions will take place to coincide with the G8 summit in Genoa. Free the prisoners! Smash detention!

Diverse actions against Campsfield detention centre are also being planned by a variety of groups, including a CARNIVAL AGAINST CAMPSFIELD including samba bands, community and refugee support groups, world musicians, circus performers and theatre..BUT HEY this could be a travelling circus too!

Arrive @ Campsfield on Wednesday 18th July to help set up camp - email us to help plan for numbers - especially if you have access to kitchen equipment, tents, yurts, large marquees, food, water or can help in any other way.
