Acomodation Information in Barcelona.Campaign Barcelona-2001

Hi there!
As you probably know by now, we're arranging accommodation in campings. If you've booked a space, you probably have already received or will receive tomorrow an e-mail with the exact address and stuff. Nonetheless, and since we expect the arrival af lots of people without reservation, it'd be great if you could phone us as soon as you enter the spanish state for that we can confirm your location. We want things to go smoothly and that's the only way to do it.
The only problem we've got is that we said we had indoor
areas, which turned out to be a misunderstanding. We're working to get something for all those who requested an indoor space (activists from Holland), but we're afraid it'll be hard to get anything else for those who show up last minute. So please bring a tent or money to rent one.
Here are the direction to the 2 main camping areas (if you show up there without reservation, you'll be sent back to the convergence center, so please send an e-mail to
alojatebm@yahoo.es or phone us asap (+34 637 72 53 05) for that you don't have to go around with your luggage and stuff).
Badalona (city next to Barcelona): football camp with toilets and showers (hot water), bar, lockers and parking for buses. Address: Campos Futbol Pere Gol (Sistrells neighbourhood). Highway A-19, exit Badalona Sud or Badalona Centre. Tube: L4, 'Gorg' Station. Open from now until the 26th at noon.
Zona Franca (area of Barcelona): camping with all facilities and parking for buses. Address: Centre Civic La Bascula, c/ del foc with c/Mare de Deu del Port (close to the school 'Can Clos' and the Paseo de la Zona Franca). Once in Barcelona, take 'Ronda Litoral' and exit 'Zona Franca'. Tube: L1, L3 'Espanya' Station or bus number 9 from the city center. Open from friday 8 a.m. til monday 8 a.m.
As we've said, if you have not booked accommodation, you'll have to go to the Convergence Center at the hall of the University of Barcelona (Tube L1, L2, 'Universitat' Station). Don't try to get there by car or bus, take public transportation. There you'll get all the informatio you need and it's only a couple of minutes from all the other areas of the counterconference.
