British Pensioners favour direct action

Pensioners affiliated to the British Pensioners and Trades Union Action Association protested outside parliament today. Their magazine, reporting from the Pensioners Parliament in Blackpool, said that "the loudest cheers were for direct action".

actually the head of the National Pensioners Convention (the largest pensioner pressure group in the UK) is Jack Jones, who fought for the Republic in the Spanish Civil War.
