Vote Nobody, also in London

ana | 08.06.2001 17:20

Nobody had also it representation in London, where some activists, dressed up as Wombles, gave out over 1000 leaflets.

We didn't want to just sit down and not vote, as most of the people apparently do on hte day! We tried to make our difference and went to Central London to make our point. Most reactions were supportive to the cause, some reactions were a bit abusive, a few people came up to us and explain why we should all vote.

the active 'no votes' /spoiled ballots in official terms/ are not being included in the turnout figures: we have no easy way of telling how many people 'voted' for 'nobody'

inidentally, i think mandelson should apologise for his disgracwful lambasting of arthur scargill
