Wombles protest outside Millbank....

the wombles today staged a protest outside the Labour Party Headquarters at millbank. two banners were unfurled saying,
" Blair or Hague? this is no choice!...ELECTION = FARCE!". Another read,
"Election = crack. corporate media = pushers".
Another leaflet read,
"Blair- Hague? coke or pepsi? nike or adidas?" and, " it doesn't matter who you vote for, the government never changes...!"
the wombles, not known for press statements, said unofficially, that the reason for this protest was to highlight the lack of choice between the parties and raise a debate about all of the issues not raised in the General Election. more will follow later....

Even my Mum said that given the total lack of choice she was going to vote green to at least raise some environmental issues because all the parties were the same! And she used to play bridge at the local conservative club! (Though voted Blair in 97)
Here in Western Africa the people are sad but realistic about "democracy" being foisted on them by a West desperate for a president synpathetic to capitalism. This democracy has resulted in one president for 30 years, and a population not caring who is nominaly in charge so long as they don't interfere in their day to day lives.
