About 50 people successfully thwarted attempts by Haringey Council bailiffs and supporting police officers who attempted to evict veteran McLibel campaigner David Morrison from his north London home recently.
A samba band maintained a carnival atmosphere as people questioned local authority eviction officers as to why David and his 12-year-old son Charlie are being forced from their home of 12 years.
After the successful action David told supporters: "Our only aim is to get permenant housing on this estate not to humiliate the police or the council".
David faces action from Haringey Council.
