Nun of the Above is a serious but entertaining new venture in British Politics that, for the first time, gives people the chance to place a vote simply of dissatisfaction with the candidates on offer. Our candidate's name will be at the bottom of the ballot paper, under the moniker: "Nun of the Above".

This election, Sister Xnunoftheabove will be standing against Glenda Jackson in the Hampstead and Highgate constituency (dressed as a nun), giving disenfranchised voters the opportunity to have their voice heard AND vote.

Nun of the Above is not just about giving everyone a laugh, but really does have the potential to provide a valuable insight into what the voting public actually feels: at present, many of those who dislike all available candidates do not vote at all, and others plump for whoever they hate least.

Nun of the Above is fun and stimulating - nobody has a political tub to thump as such, and the nun outfits help to, er, subtly underline our light-hearted attitude.

With legal and PR departments, as well as canvassers and grass roots members, Nun of the Above comprises a well-organised, highly-qualified, humourous and (especially dressed in habits) stunningly photogenic bunch, available immediately for interview in the press, television, and radio.
