Elections are a joke. So what then?... (Part 2 of Democracy What Democracy?)

In India's Kernakata region they tie the politicians to trees. So why have we been tolerating governments for so long? What else is there?

So how to achieve this?

How do we get from here to there?

Is it bottom up, or top down?

I mean, it all sounds really nice. But it exists in the mind of one person at the moment, where it is easy to organize. In real life it is very hard to organise.

Yes, I agree this is a much better way of running things. Puts responsibility in the hands of people who NEED it!

So perhaps we need to wrestle power out of the hands of the political elite, like they have in Bristol...

But THEY have armies and guns on their side - hence the Zapotista's ended up fighting the Mexican army.

People in this country would rather live on their knees than die on their feet. Or so it seems. Maybe Free Easton needs the support of MANY people so that it can be made more REAL and set an example to other parts of the UK. Something like Free Easton needs support and help in creating a small scale version of this in order to give heart to others who might set something like this up!

Do unto politicians as they do unto you, and lamp them right on the jaw with a left jab, followed by a stranglehold, if they dare to show their two-faces in public.
