I put this idea up as a comment to another story and people seemed quite keen so here it is for all to see with added info:

Labour are certain to win the election, albeit with a decreased majority. Huge numbers of people have become disillusioned with their populist, neo-liberal policies, but feel there is nothing they can do to speak out well here is my suggestion: a mass protest at the Labour Party conference from September 30th to October 4th. We can embarass them, make a point and get maximum publicity. There a wealth of issues we could cover but here are the ones I think are most important:

* Neo-liberalism/Globalisation
* Foxhunting
* Immigration
* Iraq
* Son of Star Wars

Others include the arms trade, the ECGD, Huntingdon Life Sciences, their response to foot and mouth, police treatment of protesters, the erosion of privacy (CCTV, Echelon etc), corporate control of democracy, the 'minimum' wage, Clause 23 (gay rights) etc. etc.

I am not prepared to accept another 4 years of middle of the road government like the last four. Are you?
