May Day here in Vancouver ,Canada, got a bit nasty and we had tear gas and a few arrests. And of course the FTAA in Quebec City was like a war with gas, water cannons, rubber bullets, and hundreds of arrests. Some have wondered if the elected government really has control of the various police forces. Here and in the U.S. it seems some forces are more controled by the corporate network. As protests increase it is likely there will be some deaths at some point. There were two or three in Quebec City- as yet not fully confirmed. Certainly some protestors here do not fully realize the enormous fanatical power they are up against. The track record of global monopolies thus far would suggest that they would have no qualms about killing a considerable number,if need be. It gives me pause to think of innocent victims, who never expected real bullets would ever be used. We will overcome- carefully.
